I'm writing a book!
I was thinking about it earlier this evening, and I've been writing pretty much ever since I learnt to do it. Now that I think about it, I reckon the first time I wrote a story was when my Grandparents gave me a little rectangular white book, and I wrote a Christmas story about a bear. I pretty sure it contained more stickers than actual words, but still!
Anyway, recently I've started again, and I'm very excited about it!
I just reached 20 000 words of my first draft, and considering I was at 8000 at the beginning of the week, I'm over the moon!
I want to tell you a little bit about the plot, but it's a bit hard to explain, I might post some extracts here at later stages.
In short, it's about a group of teenagers that start of living this picture of romanticised youth: partying, sneaking out, getting tattoos, running away. It's all about living fast, and how if you're not careful, it can all end in tragedy.
It doesn't sound groundbreaking or anything new at all, but there's a lot more to it than that, and I can't wait to get it all down on paper!
